Relay (mobile)
The Synap phone app, where you approve what your agents propose and capture things on the go.
Relay is the Synap app for iOS and Android. It is built for supervision: short, frequent acts you do wherever you are. Approve or reject what your agents propose, capture something before you forget it, and see what your agents and rules did on your behalf. Long authoring work belongs in Browser.
The tab bar
| Tab | The question it answers |
|---|---|
| Home | Does anything need me? Pending approvals, and a "See all activity" link to what was done. |
| Moving | What is being worked on now? The things in motion, each with the work on it, such as a session. All sessions, past ones included, are one tap away. |
| + (centre) | Here is a new thing: search, capture or ask. Hold a choice to record your voice. |
| Library | What do I have? Every record, browsable by kind (Things), and what you chose to keep (Kept). |
| Settings | Configure Relay, including the trust rules your agents work under. |
Pairing Relay with your pod
synap init (from @synap-core/cli) ends by showing a pairing link and QR code when your pod is served over HTTPS.
Open it on your phone to connect Relay to that pod. A pod on localhost or plain HTTP cannot be paired; run
synap init --pod-url https://… again once it has a public HTTPS address.
Capturing
- Share sheet: send links, text and media to your pod from other apps.
- Capture button: the centre button of the tab bar.
- Voice: hold a capture choice to dictate.
Permissions
Relay asks for a permission only for the feature that needs it: contacts (to import them as people), microphone and speech recognition (voice capture), camera (business cards and photos), and the photo library (photos you attach, and photo import if you turn it on).
Relay is not open source.
